The family portal: a guide for parents
How parents sign in, switch between their children, and find results, fees, attendance, notices and messages in the family portal.
The family portal gives parents and guardians one place to follow each of their children: diary, results, timetable, fees, leave requests, notices and messages from the school. One family account covers every child the school has linked to it.
Before you start
- The school gives you a Parent ID and a password. If you have not received them, contact the school office.
- Your children must be linked to your family record by the school. If a child is missing, the office needs to link them.
- What you see in the menu depends on what your school uses. If you do not see an option, it may not be included in your school's plan; ask the school office.
Steps
Sign in
- Open the sign-in page your school gave you. The screen is titled Parent Login.
- Enter your Parent ID and Password, then click Sign in.
- After signing in you land on Family Students, which shows a card for each linked child with their class, Fees Due and attendance.
Open a child's portal
- On Family Students, click Open Portal on the child you want. The card for the child you are viewing shows Selected.
- The Dashboard and the rest of the menu now show that child's information.
- To change child, use the student switcher in the top bar (it shows the current child's name) and pick another child, or choose All students to go back to the cards. You can also click Family Students in the side menu at any time.
Find your way around
- Academics: Diary, Results, Time Table and Date Sheet. Some schools also show Hifz or Academic.
- Learning: Live Classes, Assignments and Quizzes, where the school runs online learning.
- Attendance & Leave: send a Leave Request, or ask for Early Leave where the school offers it.
- Finance & Services: Fee History, Transport, Library and Hostel.
- Communication: Notice Board, SMS & Alerts, Discussion Board, Complaints, and where available Appointments and Lost & Found.
- Resources: My Documents where available, and Calendar with the Academic Calendar and Event Calendar.
Read and acknowledge a notice
- Go to Notice Board. Notices marked urgent stand out at the top of the list.
- Open any attachment with View Attachment.
- If the school asks you to confirm, click Acknowledge. The notice then shows as Acknowledged, and the school can see that you have read it.
Good to know
- SMS & Alerts is a record of the text messages the school has sent you, with the date of each. It is read only; to reply, use Complaints, an appointment, or contact the office.
- Your account details are under My Profile in the menu at the top right. Logout is in the same menu.
- If you cannot sign in, the screen says: contact admin staff. The school office can check your Parent ID and help you sign in.
- Menu items appear only for features your school uses, so another family at a different school may see a different menu.
